Internet Selling for Newbies

Posted by Mike Filsaime August 28, 2009 11:33 am

Internet Marketing is a tricky subject. In fact, much of what people think is involved in Internet Marketing is actually a misnomer. Internet Marketing is really just about how to raise awareness for your product, and make your name known throughout the world. Just about every big name out there has a product to teach you exactly that; how to market your product on the internet. The only problem with that is most people teach you how to market without really teaching you how to sell your product in the first place. What you really need to learn is Internet Selling: getting your product to fly off the shelves.

Enter Internet Selling for Newbies. Internet Selling for Newbies is a complete training course that will literally take you by the hand and teach you step by step how to start making real money online. Internet Selling for Newbies teaches you the fundamentals that most IM courses assume you already know.

Fundamental #1: List Building

It is absolutely imperative that everything you do online is geared towards increasing your subscriber list. Your subscribers and followers not only become your customers, but they also become your biggest asset in acquiring more members through word of mouth and viral marketing. Internet Selling for Newbies teaches you everything you need to know about building your list and utilizing its power.

Fundamental #2: Driving Traffic

No matter how awesome your product is, if no one can easily find it, it’s worthless. It’s up to you to find and drive traffic to your site so that it can sell the product. This can be done in two ways: via organic traffic gained from SEO and word of mouth, or through advertisements like banners or PPC. However, it’s not just about getting everyone and anyone to your site. You want to get people who are looking to buy exactly what you are selling. Internet Selling for Newbies will teach you the best ways to get targeted traffic to your site and how to utilize that traffic to make your sales.

Fundamental #3: Increasing Conversions

Now then, once you have a customer with his foot in the door, are you just going to let him look around and then let him go? That would be foolish. Your goal is to take that one customer with his foot in the door and turn him into a buyer. You’ve got to test and tweak your site to make it more appealing to more buyers. Change offers, add incentives, do whatever it takes to keep them on your site and ready to buy.

Fundamental #4: Duplication

So then, once they’ve bought your product, are you just going to let them go? After all, why would you want to have to continually pay for the same customer to turn up when you could easily get him back in the door for free? The last thing you want to do is try to go in a new direction when your current direction is really working well. While you do want to make subtle changes to your current designs to see if they work better, why would you want to go and try to re-invent the wheel when your wheel works perfectly fine? It’s better to use what you’ve learned and re-apply it than to try to figure out a completely new system.

So then, knowing about the fundamentals is fine and dandy, but what you really need to know is how to apply those fundamentals in terms of your marketing. Internet Selling for Newbies teaches you exactly how to execute those fundamentals in your business to make your product sell.

Internet Selling for Newbies is a solid course that covers the basics you’ll need to know to start your business. You’ll learn all important skills like how to register domain names, setting up wordpress blogs, and making sales pages to more advanced tactics such as traffic generation, merchant accounts, advanced marketing strategies and tons more. This isn’t just someone telling you what to do. You see real screenshots with exact instructions about how to set up your website, your email marketing and everything in between. Nothing is left out. Internet Selling for Newbies covers everything you need to know to get started, no ifs ands or buts.

    Hi Mike,

Like so many other people, I too have wasted my time with reading volumes of rubbish being
pushed by some so called “Guru’s” and it took me a long time to find good step by step
information which really helped me get started. I wish I had read articles like this one years ago! Thanks for sharing this.

    Regards,
    Sue Schlaiffer.

When I first got into Internet marketing, I felt completely overwhelmed until I came across several articles on the internet about the basics of Internet Marketing. I broke down what I should be doing and how to get started with the Internet marketing basics instead of assuming I knew how to find keywords or how to set up a website.

It is scary to see exactly how much bull is out there….

it took me two years to sift through the rubbish and see the light…

and like seth godin said, everyone is an expert…..;)

with all the hype out there, it’s easy to take the wrong road.

i had all the good info in front of me right from the start – but i believed there had to be an easier way – and wasted two years in the process…

    just my 0.02c
